Double Overtime Victory!

Yesterday afteroon was a grueling gridiron battle. My flag football team, The Infringers, had our season on the line. After putting up a mediocre 2-2 season so far, we had a do-or-die game, with our playoff hopes on the line.

My position on the team is center, I snap the ball to the quarterback. But yesterday, during the early part of the 4th quarter, our team captain freaked out. We were down by two points to a team we should easily be beating. He re-arranged the lineup, and asked me to play center and defensive line the rest of the game. The game went into double overtime, with plenty of drama and yelling from the sidelines. The guy who was lining up against me on the line had a bloody face for some reason, which was sort of unnerving. Luckily, our team persevered. I got a quarterback sack during the first overtime, and one of our corners intercepted a key pass that prevented the other team from scoring, and forced the game into double overtime.

Suffice to say, I am sore today. Both of my shoulders feel like someone smacked them with hammers. But with playoff hopes still alive, The Infringers are still in the hunt for the law school flag football trophy!
