I am done with the Bar Exam. It was a horrible, stressful two months leading up to a 12 hour test. Overall, the exam went pretty well.
The first day they hit Contracts, Agency, Crim Law, Commercial Paper, Torts, Domestic Relations and Wills. Overall I thought it wasn't too bad. I sort-of got lucky, the week prior to the exam I was worried about my essay writing, so I did about 20 practice essays, many of which were either Domestic Relations or Wills, so I was able to get through both of those essays on the exam pretty quickly, and felt like I had enough time for the MPT section.
The MBE was about as I expected, there's just no way of sugarcoating a 200 question multiple choice exam in which you have exactly 1.5 minutes for each question. You can only prepare for it by doing practice questions til your eyes bleed, and I feel like I was generally prepared for it. They tested a TON of Constitutional Law, which was very surprising, but other than that it was what I expected; Contracts, Evidence, Property and some Crim & Tort. There were a few oddball questions, which I assume were the 'experimental' non-graded ones. They don't tell us if we passed until November, and really, who knows, but basically I feel good enough about the whole experience that I won't lose any sleep over it. I feel good.
