No Objection to Swedish Vampires

This last week I have been playing a great game. Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney, a Japanese game series about a defense attorney named Phoenix Wright. Each game consists of several cases, always a murder investigation. Your client has been charged with the crime, and you must successfully defend them.

It is an adventure game, so as the player you talk to other characters, investigate locations looking for clues, and then cross examining witnesses in court trying to find contradictions in their testimony, and revealing pieces of evidence that expose their lies, and proving your client's innocence.

The game is very charming & the music is quite good. Here is a commercial for it. Sometimes I get tripped up because I will try to over-think a scenario, but then I realize that the prosecutor is a twenty year old girl who calls me a fool in court and literally whips me from across the aisle when I make a mistake... so, you know, you can't take it too seriously.

A few days ago Melissa and I also watched an awesome movie. It is called Let The Right One In. It is a Swedish horror-suspense film about a vampire in a small town. It was one of the highest rated movies of 2008, currently sitting at 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. This movie is excellent. If this and Twilight were both prisoners, Let The Right One In would trade Twilight for a pack of cigarettes with a different cell block.

And finally, go read about the Tweenbot experiment in NYC. Melissa talks about it on her blog, they are adorable.
