Making me Crazy

Its always a nerve-wracking experience getting your grades in law school, because sometimes the grades can be unpredictable. Case in point, this last semester my first final exam was for Wills & Trusts. It was a time crunched final, we only had 2.5 hours to complete the test in, which is extremely short for law school exam standards. During the exam, my computer turned off, and I had to wait for a proctor to turn it back on and re-start the exam software. I had a mini-meltdown, and it took me a while to collect myself and focus on the exam. The test was a total disaster, I felt like I didn't even answer half the questions on the test, and I honestly thought I failed the exam.

The day after this final, I took my Insurance Law exam. This was a completely different experience. I felt one hundred percent alert and perceptive, I felt like I saw every single issue and knew exactly what to write the moment I saw it, I even felt so confident and in control that I literally wrote a few "asides" during the exam, talking about different policy implications and rationale behind some of the legal rules I was putting down. I felt like I was writing a completely perfect exam, even in retrospect I really don't know what more I could have written about that would have improved my answers.

Suffice to say, I received my grades for both of these classes, and basically got the same grade for each class, a "B". What? On one exam I seriously didn't even answer about half the questions and felt like I completely failed the exam, the next exam I felt like I was sailing towards possibly the highest grade in the class. It just doesn't make sense.

Did you see that Tom Cruise interview? C-R-A-Z-Y is all I have to say. And the Jerry O'Connell parady. Priceless.

that sucks so bad that its like you have no idea what grade you are getting and it is ALL subjective!!! ahhhhh, that would make me so mad!
