Yesterday was the first day of my internship at the Department of Justice. It was interesting; as soon as I arrived I was shuttled off to some court proceedings where I got to see a little bankruptcy law in action. I even saw a judge call an attorney an "irritating human being," because the attorney was visibly laughing as the opposing counsel made their motion argument.
Other than that, the only thing I did was literally receive a rolling briefcase full of books, with the instructions to "read these" over the next few days. The US Trustee I am working for handed me 10 books and 3 power point presentations print outs; so suffice to say I am in my school library right now with a considerable amount of Ritalin in my veins.
Overall, I think it will be a good experience.

Congrats on the summer internship. Just think, it will all be over soon. Enjoy!
that sucks so bad, but is cool at the same time! Too bad your internship is not nearly as cool as our selling t-shirts in Hawaii! :)
Wow Jim, I thought you would never start. Sounds like a tv court drama, only less cool.
Can I get some of that Ritalin for my job?
