For my summer internship with the Department of Justice, I have to fill out a grotesque amount of paperwork. Among the queries I must provide, they include (i) every place I have worked for the past seven years, (ii) every period of unemployment for the past seven years, (iii) every school I have attended for the past seven years, (iv) every place I have lived for the last seven years, etc.
Plus, I have to provide contact information of people who can verify each individual piece of information! Its ridiculous; who would I honestly put down as someone who can verify that I was in-fact unemployed from May 2001 - July 2001? For all contact verification, you have to provide someone who is not a relative, still lives in the area, etc. What?!
