For The Win!

Today is a glorious, wonderful day. Sometimes in life certain events, synchronicities if you will, converge upon a singular moment to create an epic confluence of events. Today is just such a day.

Not only is today my birthday, but last night I was also offered a summer internship by the Department of Justice, which sounds promising. Today is also due the final paper for my legal writing class. The paper is a 20 page legal opinion I had to write about the current 2nd Amendment case before the Supreme Court, dealing with Washington D.C.'s ban on handguns. I have been slavishly working on this paper for weeks, and it's finally finished. If I have to read the phrase "The founding fathers..." one more time, I am going to barf.

Granted, all of these things in and of themselves ain't bad, but they all dwarf in comparison to the truly meaningful, epic nature of 4.29.2008. Today is the release date for Grand Theft Auto 4. This is possibly going to be the highest selling video game of all time. The following video is of a commercial that your character can watch within the game itself. The game world is so thoroughly fleshed out, there are complete t.v. shows, commercials, along with a complete mock internet you can surf, all within the game. And those are just things you do to pass time when you don't feel like actually working on the game's story. Amazing...
