Surprise, surprise. For the last five years or so the Republicans have used a bizarre talking point with which to attack Democrats; the supposed issue of voter fraud.
This always perplexed me, because it was always one of those issues that I would never hear about in school, despite the fact that all I took were classes on politics. I would never read about it in the papers, and would never hear about it on respectable news shows. This allegedly pervasive problem of predominately democrat voter fraud was always a fringe issue, the kind of thing that only your rabidly Republican friend who listened to Rush Limbaugh would even know about, yet they would act like it was a huge problem.
Not surprisingly, now that there is actually a Congress in power who bothers to check up on these issues, it turns out the Republicans did suspect partisan voter fraud was taking place, and the Federal Government conducted a massive investigation. As it turns out, there is no voter fraud. For a country of our size, it barely exists. Amazingly, this report was CONCLUDED in 2004, yet the Republicans in Congress never authorized it's release, because it undermined their talking points.
