I turned 29 this week. Melissa and I celebrated by having dinner at a delicious sushi restaurant, opening gifts and eating a fantastic chocolate cake.
Melissa got me some awesome stuff; a pair of Nikes and a Mets shirt. I also received a Best Buy gift card, which is perfect, I plan on using it the day I finish my last final, so its like a delayed gift for when I finish the finals grind.
For some reason, though, two weeks ago I had an afternoon where I honestly thought I was turning 30 instead of 29. I had to ask Melissa how old I was after a while. It was a whole different ballgame when the prospect of turning 30 was on the table. Everything seemed so bleak, it was an existential crisis, staring onsetting old age in the face for an afternoon.
Next Monday I have my Commercial Transactions final. Its a very interesting class, but there is so much material to learn that it is suffocating. I wish they made some kind of mnemonic device cartoon for the class. Sort of like the cartoon for government classes where the personified Bill sings "Im' just a bill, up on Capitol Hill..." Picture that with a personified promissory note, thats what I want someobody to create.

I hear ya Jim. I honestly can't remember how old I am sometimes. I had to write 37 on my calender this year to remember. Yep that's right! *#@!* 37! Soon I will be eating dinner at Denny's at 400 in the afternoon. For a discounted price.
that is hilarious that you thought you were turning 30 and that is a pretty big deal. I love the new shoes too, Ryan needs some like that!!!! Happy Birthday!
