As if there weren't already enough reasons to find Sarah Palin a hilarious caricature of everything that is wrong with contemporary American politics, along comes another.
According to recent financial disclosure statements made by the RNC, the Republicans have spent over $150,000 since August on clothes, shoes and jewelry for Palin and her family. The largest expenses have come from Nieman Marcus and Saks.
Remember a few months ago when Republican hacks tried to make hay out of John Edwards spending $600 on a haircut, and how that made him "out of touch?" If spending $600 on hair cuts makes a politician out of touch, what does spending $150,000 at Nieman Marcus in two months make you?
Other than the worst Vice Presidential candidate in modern history, I can't really think of anything else. According to the latest Gallup Poll, Sarah Palin was cited as the #1 reason why prospective Republican voters are reluctant to vote for McCain. She is literally killing his campaign. But at least she does it looking classy!

haha, it almost makes me sad for them to lose just becuase of how freaking funny SNL has been lately........but then i get over it...... very very quickly ;)
