Game Time + Hardball!

This is a picture from my first flag football game, played last Friday. (I am in the white shirt & grey shorts). For better or worse, I got assigned as the Center for my team, so it looks like the bulk of my season will be spent trying to spin around fatties & avoiding fingers & elbows getting jammed into my eyes.

As you can see from this picture, the feeble guy trying to stop me was no match for my blistering turtle-like speed! I had a decent game, including a game ending quarterback sack! Our team won 12-0.

On a different note, I was sad to see the McCain campaign descending to the depth of Karl Rove-esque politics this week as they essentially stopped talking about issues, and instead decided the campaign should be waged with little more that nonsensical faux-outrage. Luckily the latest round of nonsense was summarily shot down by anyone with common sense and a brain. This clip from Hardball I found particularly enjoyable. From a tactical perspective, I hope the Obama campaign at this point lets the dogs off the leash in terms of the 527s. I don't think anyone anticipated McCain would go so dirty with his campaign; and if recent history has taught us anything, it is that with national politics you have to match fire with fire.

They must have put you in as center for your staggering size and strength. You look pretty buff in the picture. What a fun thing to do! I love college intramural sports. I wish I could get on a team.
