Funny because it is Sad
In case you missed it, Saturday Night Live's opening sketch this weekend was a spoof of Sarah Palin's disastrous interview with Katie Couric this past week.
What makes this sketch so good is that during certain parts of the sketch, Tina Fey actually quotes Palin word-for-word from the real interview.
The actual interview with Katie Couric was such a train wreck that it prompted some Conservative writers to call for Palin to step down before embarrassing McCain any further.
McCain campaign insiders are reported as saying that so far the campaign has conducted two mock debates with Palin, and both of them have been so horrible they are looking for any opportunity to cancel the VP debate outright. Not coincidentally, when McCain pulled his stunt last week and said he wanted to cancel last Friday's debate between he and Obama, McCain suggested a make-up date for the first debate. When was that suggested make-up date? You guessed it, the same evening that Palin and Biden are scheduled to debate.
And to top it all off, the McCain campaign is once again riding the 'Sexism' train, by claiming that the Katie Couric interview was unfair, and also claiming that this Thursday's debate will be sexist and unfair. The humanity... The idea that a Presidential campaign is complaining that people are asking the VP candidate 'tough questions,' and arguing that do so is inappropriate... this is a new low for modern Presidential campaigns.

I seriously can't believe the whole thing. Their campaign will have to go down in history as the worst ever. The poorest decisions ever. If they win I will be absolutely dumbfounded. The whole disaster that is McCain-Palin is like a real life SNL skit. Seriously. No exaggeration.
