I have become inexplicably fascinated with Pokemon. Here are some fun facts I recently learned about Pokemon. In 1996 a Pokemon cartoon in Japan caused at least 690 kids to have seizures. Also, Nintendo has sold more than 155,000,000 Pokemon video games over the last twelve years. Pokemon Diamond for the Nintendo DS is on track to easily be the highest selling game of 2007, way ahead of what Halo 3 is expected to sell. I listen to a weekly video game podcast, and last week two of the writers for the game magazine were 'battling' Pokemon via their Nintendo DS wifi, and I must say the way they were describing the battle made it sound like the most awesome video game I have ever heard of, despite the battle looking like still-frame pictures of stuffed animals vibrating in one place. I think I might have to check out Pokemon a little bit more; I may have been missing out on the most awesome phenomena of the last decade.

Now those are some interesting facts. Pokeman eh...it doesn't look to exciting. We are so so so excited for tomorrow!
I have to say I am one of the millions of people that have this game. I have beat both Poke'mon Blue and Red versions. Blue is better. I have not stepped into the Gold, Saphire, Diamond, whatever realm the world Poke'mon has turned into. I was always a closet geek. I used to watch Dragon Ball Z everyday after high school.
