ho ho ho

For our first Christmas together, Melissa and I decided to take the Clark Griswald - Christmas Vacation approach, and head out to the woods and chop down a tree with our bare hands. It turned out to be one of the more enjoyable activities we have done in Syracuse.

We were also informed by the kid working at the farm that Christmas trees take about 4 years to grow to only a foot tall, because it is very difficult for them to develop their root system. However, once they grow to about a foot high, with a year or so they shoot up very quickly to their full height. Maybe next year we will chop down one of the 12 foot trees they had; until then we are making due with our 5.5 foot tree.

To finish off the day, we attended the Syracuse vs. Witchita State game. Both teams are nationally ranked, and the game was awesome

It is totally Christmas Vacation without the hip-deep snow, forgetting the saw or the family truckster that just crashed into the sign of the quaint old tree farm... Love the pictures of everything. I looks like you guys are having so much fun! Miss you and can't wait for Christmas!!

That is the coolest thing I have ever seen!! How fun. It seems like you guys are having a really good time there and I really love Melissa's hair blonde. We didn't even put up a tree because we are moving. Sad. We are excited to see you guys next week!
