NYC + Thanksgiving Weekend

Melissa and I traveled to NYC for Thanksgiving. We found a hotel in New Jersey for only $49 a night that was located about a 5 minute drive away from a bus depot park & ride that shuttles tourists / workers into the Times Square Port Authority Bus Terminal in about 7 minutes.

I was leary of this trip before we left, I was paranoid that the unforseen costs of travel & hassle would obliterate the cheaper hotel room rate of staying in New Jersey. While the first day was a hassle, by the second day when we figured out how to move around, I felt like a genius. I could not imagine paying 4x as much money for the same room in Manhattan.

The most surprising aspect of this trip was Central Park, quite possibly the most impressive aspect of Manhattan, along with the Nintendo store in Rockefeller Plaza, and the subway system in general. Awesome...
